iAMB scientists visiting the Massey University in New Zeeland
As part of the DAAD funding programme, Jana Fees and Alexander Deitert are currently visiting the working group of Prof. Benoit Guieysse at Massey University in Palmerston North (New Zealand). As part of this visit, the two working groups are exchanging information about their experiences in the field of polyphosphate accumulation. The research in Prof Blank's working group focuses on polyphosphate accumulation in baker's yeast, while Prof Guieysse's working group, led by Dr Maxence Plouviez, accumulates polyphosphate in algae. The aim is to benefit from each other's findings, learn new working techniques and establish new contacts. In this way, both projects are to be driven forward in their development.
