Lebenslauf

Dr. Tiso studierte Bioingenieurwesen an der TU Dortmund und promovierte 2016 am iAMB (RWTH Aachen University). Während er an der TU Dortmund Kenntnisse in der Verfahrenstechnik sammeln konnte, erwarb er am iAMB Kenntnisse über molekularbiologische Techniken. Nach seiner Promotion arbeitete Herr Tiso als Gruppenleiter am iAMB. In dieser Zeit konzipierte er wissenschaftliche Projekte in Kooperation oder eigenständig, warb Mittel ein, koordinierte die wissenschaftliche Arbeit und betreute Wissenschaftler und Doktoranden. In bisher 15 Forschungsprojekten betreute Dr. Tiso 13 Doktoranden, zwei PostDocs und drei wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiter. Dr. Tiso ist Autor oder Co-Autor von 30 Publikationen. Darüber hinaus ist er Erstautor von drei Buchkapiteln. Dr. Tiso ist auch Mitautor von zwei Patenten. Darüber hinaus hat er Beiträge in Form von Postern und Vorträgen (vier, davon zwei auf Einladung) für zahlreiche Konferenzen vorbereitet.

In den verschiedenen Projekten hat Dr. Tiso nationale und internationale Kooperationen initiiert und gepflegt. Zu den Partnern gehören internationale Forschungsgruppen in Dublin (Irland) (Kevin O'Connor an der UCD), Daejeon in Südkorea (Sang-Yup Lee am KAIST), Laval in Kanada (Eric Déziel am INRS), Rio Claro in Brasilien (Jonas Contiero an der UNESP), Madrid in Spanien (Auxiliadora Prieto am CSIC), London in England (Patrik Jones am Imperial College) und zahlreiche nationale Partner an verschiedenen Universitäten in Deutschland (RWTH Aachen, Universität Ulm, Universität Bonn, HHU Düsseldorf, WWU Münster, Universität Hohenheim und andere). In zwei Fällen ergab sich aus diesen Kontakten die Möglichkeit für Dr. Tiso, mehrere Monate in den Laboren der jeweiligen Partner zu verbringen (Imperial College London und CSIC Madrid). Zu den Kooperationspartnern, mit denen Dr. Tiso enger zusammengearbeitet hat, gehören auch Industriekontakte. Dazu gehören SOPREMA (Straßburg, Frankreich) (Kunststoffproduktion), BIOPLASTECH (Dublin, Irland) (Biotech-Unternehmen, welches PHA produziert), Evonik (Essen, Deutschland) (Chemie- und Biotech-Unternehmen) und FRINGS (Rheinbach, Deutschland) (Hersteller von Fermentern und Fermentationsanlagen).
