10+1 year anniversary of the Institute of Applied Microbiology

In 2011, we started as the Institute of Applied Microbiology at the RWTH Aachen University. A lot has happened since, and we would like to spend a day recollecting and reuniting. Please join us for the celebration of our 10+1 year anniversary on Friday, June 10th, 2022 . The celebration consists of a symposium in the morning, followed by an open lab at the Institute of Applied Microbiology, and a barbecue in the late afternoon.

We are happy to have confirmed a number of former companions and scientific friends of the iAMB as speakers for the symposium. Next to the speakers from academia, we invited industrial partners to present their perspectives on advances of industrial microbiology.

Afterwards, we will have an open lab at the institute. Here, you will have the opportunity to visit our laboratories, learn more about our current research, and get in touch with companies supporting us for many years.

The day will end with a joint barbecue and biotechnologically produced cold drinks in a relaxed atmosphere.

When: June 10th, 2022; Start at 9.00 am

Where: RWTH Aachen University, Lecture hall AH IV, Ahornstraße 55, 52074 Aachen and iAMB facilities
