Selective production and analysis of PGA, short for polyglutamic acid with distinct molecular weight distribution and composition
The project is part of the SeleCa graduate school between Osaka University and RWTH Aachen. In collaboration with Prof. Büchs (RWTH Aachen, Germany) and Prof. Fukusaki (Osaka University, Japan) the project aims at the selective production of poly-gamma-glutamate using Bacillus subtilis.
At the iAMB, genetically engineered strains are created, which are analysed with regard to their metabolism and the polymer production in cooperation with the project partners.
